Rubondo is an island located on the beautiful Lake Victoria, inhabited by all kinds of animal species. From the variety of birds, to the crocodiles, and elephants, this was one of the special places the team filmed in for Episode 0. The unique beauty of the island comes from the benefit of being able to enjoy both a land and water safari experience.
The team was joined by children taking part in the Twende Porini program, which made filming and learning more fun and interesting as we all got to indulge in our curiosity together.
There are places all over Tanzania that are rich in cultural histories. Zanzibar is one of these places, known internationally for the famous stone town and white sandy beaches.
But why stop there?
ELP teamed up with Zanzibar Stone Town Heritage Society to make a short film showing off the different walks you can take through Zanzibar. These walks show you the different perspectives and stories that the city has to share. If you want to taste, listen, and learn something new…

Explore-Love-Protect© is a comprehensive multi-media project that aims to connect Tanzanians to their wondrous national parks and natural and cultural heritage. Tanzanians deserve the opportunity to explore and know their parks—to be proud and thrilled to discover their “ownership” in their country’s extraordinary biodiversity, abundant ecosystems, and rich cultural heritage.
This project is born out of the desire to honor and celebrate the massive beauty of the country, along with its bountiful history and stories that many Tanzanians and East Africans are not exposed to. We present Explore-Love-Protect© as a visual diary for people to enjoy and to use as a window to learn more about the very space that so many of us live in and call our home. We hope that this glimpse into the many pages of Tanzania can inspire the public’s will to look around and choose to discover and truly cherish the wonders of the country for themselves.
